Journal Posting for Feb. 7th, 2014
The Buddhist talk a lot about Duka..Duka is suffering..or unsatisfactoriness . Duka for me is the past 12 hours.
My new Phone...a giant state of the art masterpiece with the moniker of Galaxie Note 3..has been sitting in a Verizon office a couple of miles away waiting for me to pick it up.
As luck would have it...The whole state of Oregon is under a storm advisory and offices all across the state are closed.. so no one is staffing those office's.. such as my Verizon office... a couple of miles away ..just off Sunnyside road...right next to the Barber place where I would like to be (also) getting a much needed hair cut.
That (for me ) is Duka. Duka is one thing I understand totally.. concerning Buddhism.
Good smells coming from TGB's kitchen as I type these words. Noodles is whining behind the screen of this, my Apple Macbook pro. She knows there are a few pieces of carrot left on a dish on the coffee table and is whining and begging which she does very sorrowfully and noisily. Breaks my heart..but that is Duka.
